Important Notice: Information provided by this website and Apexuscare services is for general reference only, and does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment plans. Always consult qualified medical professionals before making any medical decision. Apexuscare is a medical coordination service provider, not a medical service provider.
Not Medical Advice
Apexuscare is a cross-border medical coordination and accompaniment service company, not a medical service provider. We do not provide medical diagnosis, treatment advice, or medical opinions.
All content on this website regarding medical procedures, treatment plans, hospital information, department recommendations, and expected outcomes is for educational and informational purposes only, and should not be considered a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment plans.
Independent Medical Service Providers
All medical treatments are performed by independent Chinese medical institutions and licensed medical professionals. These institutions and professionals are not employees, partners, or agents of Apexuscare.
Treatment decisions, medical opinions, diagnostic results, and clinical outcomes are entirely the responsibility of the treating medical institution and its professionals. Apexuscare acts only as a coordinator and bears no responsibility for the appropriateness, accuracy, or outcome of any medical act.
Medical Risks
All medical procedures (including diagnostic examinations, surgical treatment, drug therapy, and rehabilitation) carry inherent medical risks. Before agreeing to any treatment, you should:
Fully discuss all possible risks, benefits, and alternatives with your attending physician
Fully disclose your past medical history, surgical history, allergy history, and current medications to the medical institution
Understand that treatment outcomes cannot be guaranteed, and results may vary significantly between patients
Be aware of potential complications, side effects, and sequelae, and prepare accordingly both psychologically and financially
Obtain a second medical opinion from a physician in your home country before deciding on cross-border treatment
Confirm that the treatment plan has received informed consent and that you have signed the relevant documents
Cross-border Travel-specific Risks
Cross-border medical travel involves additional risks and considerations. You should fully understand and assess these before departure:
Flying after surgery or certain treatments may increase risks of deep vein thrombosis and poor wound healing. Follow medical advice on safe travel timing.
Continuity of care and rehabilitation after returning home may be challenging. Local physicians may not fully understand the treatment plans from Chinese hospitals.
Although Apexuscare provides bilingual accompaniment, precise communication of certain medical terms may still affect your understanding of condition and treatment.
Medical malpractice laws and compensation mechanisms differ between countries. Cross-border medical disputes may face complex jurisdictional issues.
You may be exposed to different pathogens in a new environment. Long-haul travel itself may lower immunity and increase post-operative infection risk.
Actual treatment costs may exceed initial estimates due to changes in condition, complication management, or additional treatment needs.
Treatment-specific Disclaimers
The following describes the specific risks and considerations for major categories of treatment:
Oncology and Cancer Treatment (including proton/heavy ion therapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy)
Cancer treatment plans depend heavily on individual condition and pathology typing. Cutting-edge therapies such as proton/heavy ion, targeted drugs, and immunotherapy have specific indications and potentially serious side effects, including but not limited to cytokine release syndrome and immune-related adverse events. Treatment outcomes may differ significantly between patients. All treatment plans must be formulated by oncology specialists based on specific conditions.
Cardiovascular Intervention and Surgery
Cardiovascular interventional treatments (such as stent implantation, radiofrequency ablation) and cardiac surgeries (such as bypass, valve replacement) carry clear surgical risks, including but not limited to bleeding, infection, arrhythmia, stroke, and death. Post-operative recovery requires strict management and long-term medication. Treatment plans should be determined after comprehensive evaluation by the cardiology and cardiac surgery team.
Assisted Reproductive Technology (including IVF/ICSI)
Success rates of assisted reproductive technologies are affected by age, ovarian function, sperm quality, and other factors, and successful conception cannot be guaranteed. Complications such as ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) and multiple pregnancies may occur during treatment. Embryo transfer success rates are statistical in nature, and individual results may vary significantly.
Organ Transplantation
Organ transplant surgery carries high risks, and lifelong immunosuppressant use is required post-surgery. Rejection, infection, and transplanted organ failure are the main risks. Chinese law imposes strict restrictions on organ transplantation for foreign patients, and all arrangements must comply with relevant laws, regulations, and international ethical standards. Apexuscare only provides information coordination and does not participate in any illegal or unethical transplant arrangements.
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Treatment
TCM treatment is based on a syndrome differentiation system and may interact with Western medications. Please be sure to inform both your TCM practitioner and Western physician about all treatments you are receiving. Some Chinese herbal medicines may have hepatotoxicity, nephrotoxicity, or other side effects. External treatments such as acupuncture carry risks like pneumothorax and infection. Evidence levels for TCM efficacy may vary by treatment area.
Health Checkups and Screening
Health checkup results are affected by equipment precision, examination timing, and individual physiological status. Screening results may produce false positives and false negatives. Abnormal results require further specialist diagnosis, and normal results do not mean complete absence of disease. Checkup conclusions are for reference only and cannot replace diagnosis by a specialist physician.
No Warranties
Each patient's condition, constitution, treatment response, and recovery speed are unique. Apexuscare makes no express or implied warranties regarding:
Apexuscare makes no guarantees or commitments regarding any specific medical outcome. Success rates, treatment data, recovery times, and expected outcomes mentioned on our website are based on general statistical data or public information published by hospitals, and may not reflect your personal experience.
Whether the treatment outcome will be successful
Whether a specific disease can be cured
Whether treatment costs will exactly match estimates
Whether the hospital can schedule visits or surgeries as expected
Whether a specific specialist will be available as planned
Whether a visa application will be approved
Insurance and Financial Considerations
Apexuscare strongly recommends that all patients purchase comprehensive travel and medical insurance before traveling to China, covering:
Medical treatment obtained in China may not be covered by your home country's health insurance. Complications arising during treatment may require additional, expensive follow-up care.
International medical treatment: Hospital and surgical costs in China
Medical emergency repatriation: Transportation costs for returning to home country for medical reasons
Trip cancellation and interruption: Losses from medical cancellations or interruptions
Post-operative complications: Treatment costs for complications arising after returning home
Accidental injury: Injuries occurring overseas
Please confirm before traveling whether your insurance coverage includes cross-border medical tourism scenarios, and keep your insurance company's emergency contact information handy.
Informed Consent
Please:
Before any medical procedure begins, you will be asked to sign informed consent documents provided by the treating hospital. These documents will detail the specific risks, benefits, and alternatives of your treatment plan.
Fully read and understand the entire content of the informed consent form
Ask questions to the doctor or Apexuscare translator about content you do not understand
Confirm that all information has been accurately communicated (you may request translation support from Apexuscare in case of language barriers)
Sign the document voluntarily and with full understanding
Communicate thoroughly with family before signing, if necessary
Apexuscare can assist with translating the content of informed consent forms, but the translation is for reference only. The final legal and medical responsibility is subject to the original Chinese document you sign.

Apexuscare provides 24/7 emergency coordination support to assist with contacting emergency services, notifying family, and coordinating with hospitals, but we cannot replace professional emergency medical services. In emergencies, please rely primarily on the local emergency system.
